Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book with you?

Simply contact me via my website or email info@fish2.co.uk let me know what kind of session you are interested in and I can send you details and we can go from there! For weddings I usually meet with couples first to discuss their day and their requirements. To secure your wedding photography with myself I ask for a 20% deposit to secure the date. The remaining balance can be paid in instalments or in full two weeks before the wedding date. For family and newborn shoots I ask for the session fee in full before the session goes ahead.

What should we wear?

Simple clothing is best, no logos, images or strong patterns. Colour co-ordinating is always pleasing to the eye but is not necessary. My photos are always natural so I want you to feel comfortable.

Do you photoshop people?

No I do not photoshop the way people look, you are beautiful and I don’t change that! I will however get rid of small pimples if requested.

Do you provide RAW files?

No, I don’t provide RAW files. Clients receive high resolution JPEG files which can be printed to a very large size.

What do you provide on our wedding day?

Dependent upon the package you choose we either stay use for your ceremony or all day from bridal prep until your first dance.

What happens before the wedding day?

Before the wedding day we will meet up a couple of times to discuss ideas and your day. Two weeks before we will have a final eating to go through a formal photograph list (this is family members and who you would like on the traditional photos) and go through all of the timings and details of your day.

What happens on the day?

It all depends on what package you have chosen. If you have chosen a package with time for couple shots we will already have a time to get a few different poses in a few different locations but I love natural photographs so it won’t be too much posing or any static old fashioned shots.

When will I get to see my photos?

You will relieve the photos about 4 weeks after your wedding day. I provide a private gallery which is password secured and will have a private link so only you or any family members you share that with will see them. I do blog about every wedding I do and will use some of my favourite photos on this. After you have received the photos we will arrange a final consultation to go through cases and if you want any prices for prints or albums.

How do I receive my photos?

As part of all packages you will receive you high resolution JPEGs on a USB in a case of your choosing. I have examples of the ones I provide which we can look at during a consultation. You can pick the colour, fabric or photograph for your case.

What happens then?

I order your case and any other optional items you may have gone for and you will receive them within 7-10 working days.

Where will the photo shoot take place?

As a location and travelling photographer it means I come to you! We take the photos in the comfort of your own home meaning everyone can feel more comfortable and the new arrival will be happy and comfortable.

What do you bring?

I bring a small frame, a couple of lights and some newborn props/outfits and backgrounds for you to house from and of course my camera :)

How long will the session last?

Usually around 1 ½ hours, however this can take a little longer if baby is having a growth spurt and needs feeding or is needing a few extra mum and dad cuddles that day.

Do we need to do anything for the shoot?

I always ask that baby is fed and is ready for a nap when I arrive to set up. This means that we a get those great sleepy shots at the start of the session. If you have other children who will be taking part in the shoot it helps them feel at ease and more comfortable if they are napped and fed ready to go!

Simple clothing is best, no logos or images or strong patterns. Colour co-ordinating is always pleasing to the eye but is not necessary. My photos are always natural so I want you to feel comfortable.

How and when will I receive my photos?

About two weeks after the shoot I will send you a private link and a password to your gallery where you can look over the photos at your convenience. The fee is for the session and includes two 10 x 8 or three 7 x 5 prints which you choose. If you want the digital JPEGS I have several options available and we can discuss this at the consultation.
