Bethan and Gareth met online and knew fairly quickly that they’d found ‘the one’. After a few years of dating the couple got engaged and embarked on paw-enthood, adding a dog to their little family.
I’d photographed Bethan’s sister's wedding a few years ago, so I was delighted when the couple got in touch and asked me to photograph their big day too. It’s always tricky picking which suppliers to use for your wedding, so it’s a great idea to ask friends and family for their recommendations. Bethan and Gareth actually ended up using quite a few of the same suppliers as her sister did, which was lovely.
Bethan and Gareth chose the beautiful St Mary’s Church in Penwortham for their wedding ceremony. It was a really hot summer’s day and we were all melting outside, but the church was nice and cool and provided the perfect setting. After the service, we headed over to Foxfields Country Hotel near Clitheroe for the wedding reception. Bethan and Gareth had opted for a musicals theme and laid on lots of games (for both the kids and grown ups!), which made for a really fun day. After the first dance, all the guests even got up and did a spot of line dancing together!
In the evening, we were blessed with a stunning sunset, which made an amazing backdrop to their photos. Bethan and Gareth had also organised sparklers for the guests, so as it got darker, we all headed outside and I was able to capture some great shots of everyone enjoying them. Here’s a selection of my favourites from the day:
