WHY ARE YOU CALLED FISH 2 PHOTOGRAPHY?
I get asked a lot why I called my business Fish 2 Photography. Lets start with no there was never a Fish 1 and no I'm not a fish fan, I mean I like eating them and watching them swim around but that's about it.
When I started the business 10 years ago I wasn't married or dating anyone and I didn't want to be the same as everyone else and use my name especially when I thought it would get changed at some point when I married so I started thinking.
I thought about when I was younger and I used to get teased for having big eyes and I called fish a lot so I decided to turn a negative into a positive and use it as my business name.
So there you go a little about why I chose Fish 2 Photography, it is also an acronym but that's a story for another day.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Christina and I run Fish 2 Photography, a small business based in Preston, Lancashire. I specialise in photographing your special moments.
I love photography it has been a passion of mine since I was little, I remember picking up the family 35mm film camera and taking loads of photos, annoying my mother with random photos of family and the historical places we would visit on holiday. I guess I was just fascinated by capturing that specific moment in time, something I don’t think I’ve ever lost. I still love taking photos, capturing those moments that will never come again.
I started my business in 2008 after many years of working for independent film companies, the BBC and some design agencies. It was a hard decision to step out on my own but I believe it was the right one. I like to challenge myself and never be complacent. I have a degree and many photography qualifications to my name but ultimately whatever happens in life so long as I have a camera I will be happy.
In my downtime I like to spend it with my husband, Rob, and our little boy, Ethan, my nieces, Coralie and Maia, my family and our close friends. I love arty stuff of every kind so I also do graphic design, painting and anything else I can get my hands on.
I look forward to meeting you and capturing the moments that matter to you.
