Amy and Jake met in 2015 through the infamous Tinder app. After many swipes, they both found their perfect match in one another. The spent months talking, but distance kept them apart, until they finally met up in Manchester for their first date. Despite Jake being hungover and so not on top form, he clearly did something right as Amy was smitten. Fast forward and after a few years of dating, Jake whisked Amy away to her favourite holiday destination, The Lake District. It was there, in Waterhead, that Jake knelt down on bended knee and promptly popped the question. Amy immediately burst into tears, but finally managed to get out a ‘yes!’.
Unfortunately then the COVID pandemic struck, but that wasn’t going to stop this pair from planning their dream day. After finding my details in a magazine, we arranged a video meeting so we could have an initial chat. During our zoom call, Amy had mentioned she liked sheep, and Jake mentioned his love of lego, so I searched out some Lego sheep for them to build together during lockdown.
Once lockdown was lifted the couple were able to finally firm up their wedding details and booked me for their photography. Amy and Jake chose Cragwood Country House Hotel for their wedding, in the beautiful surroundings of Windermere, in their beloved Lake District. It was a really lovely day, with lots of personal finishing touches - all their planning through lockdown had clearly paid off. I was absolutely delighted and really touched to see that my Lego sheep had even been incorporated into their special day, and sat pride of place atop their wedding cake!
Here are just a few of my favourites from their big day:
