Danielle and Iffan’s church wedding and Stirk House reception

Danielle and Iffan met in 2019 when they were both working in Critical Care. It certainly wasn’t love at first sight though, as initially Danielle didn’t like Iffan and thought he was rude! But the pair kept talking and Iffan soon won Danielle over, and just a year later the couple set off on a big adventure and went travelling for three months. After that, Danielle knew Iffan was ‘THE ONE’, and so when he asked her to marry him during a romantic break to the Lakes for her 30th birthday, Danielle of course said “YES!”.

I’ve known Danielle’s family for years and photographed her sister’s wedding, as well as some of her bridesmaids’ weddings too. And her mum even has the same name as me! So, when Danielle and Iffan got engaged, I was delighted they came straight to me for their photography.

As Iffan is Muslim, the couple had a Nikah ceremony a few weeks before their church wedding, so they could celebrate both of their backgrounds and traditions, with all sides of the family.

For their Western wedding, Danielle and Iffan chose Fulwood Free Methodist Church for their ceremony, followed by a reception at Stirk House, Clitheroe, in the beautiful Ribble Valley.

It was a really hot and sunny day, so we were glad of the shade from the trees in the surrounding woodland. The dappled light through the trees also provided a beautiful backdrop for their photos.

Disney-fan Danielle looked every bit the Disney princess in her gorgeous dress and make-up by Mimi Lomax. They are two of the loveliest people you’ll meet and the whole day was such a celebration, it was so lovely to be a part of it.

Let's play a little game while you look through my favourites shall we? How many of my previous Brides and grooms can you spot at this wedding? Answers at the end of the gallery
