Martin and Amy get Married at Preston Registry Office

Martin and Amy were only having a small intimate wedding with their closest friends and family in attendance and so they booked my micro marriage package which is two hours so was perfect for the ceremony, family photos and some at the park.

It was really lovely to be a part of their day and the rain stayed off until we got in the car after their couple photos which was amazing and so well timed haha.

I really enjoyed spending time with Martin and Amy and I asked them how they met and got engaged and here's what they told me:

'I met Amy while in University, and the UCLan Rock Society back in 2011, we were put together by one of our now very good friends in a pool game, needless to say we hit it off straight away and started dating shortly after. We have lived together for a number of years, but never found the right time to think about marriage. By 2019 I realised there may never be a right time, but I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.

In December 2019 I was planning to propose while visiting my hometown for Christmas. Unfortunately, all my plans fell through. I refused to allow this to dissuade me, so once we returned home after Christmas, I got down on one knee. Amy was surprised to say the least and found it quite funny in the way I decided to propose (in the kitchen whilst making lunch!), but she said yes nonetheless.

We planned to get married soon after, however, the Covid lockdowns put a halt to any plans we had. Following this we decided we didn't want an extravagant wedding, so we went for something more intimate, with just our families and close friends there to celebrate with us. With the assistance of Christina, we have managed to capture some of the best moments of our wedding day, which we will cherish for the rest of our lives.'

Here are a few of my favourites from their day:
