Catherine and Oliver get married at Lytham Hall

Catherine and Ollie met at school, at the age of 12! They remained friends throughout high school, college and uni too. They dated off and on during this time - but after uni, they went their separate ways for a few years, before meeting back up and rekindling their romance.

In 2019, Ollie was signed up to run the Berlin Marathon and at the time, Catherine was 6 months pregnant, with their son Rory. So the couple thought they’d seize the opportunity for a little getaway before the baby arrived. It was definitely a momentous trip, as not only did Ollie complete the marathon, but he and Catherine also got engaged.

Unfortunately, the couple were let down by their original photographer, so got in touch with me on the recommendation of an old family friend. Coincidently, after meeting Catherine and Ollie it turned out they actually knew my aunt and uncle.

Catherine and Ollie wanted a fairly small wedding, with just their nearest and dearest, so they could spend time with everyone and really enjoy celebrating together. The couple picked the lovely Lytham Hall for their big day. This beautiful Georgian manor house, set in nearly 80 acres of parkland, is a beautiful venue, and provided the perfect romantic and intimate feel that Catherine and Ollie were looking for.

The gardens at Lytham Hall are particularly gorgeous, but unfortunately the weather wasn’t really on our side and it rained off and on throughout the day. I kept an eye out the window and so when there was a break in the rain, we seized the opportunity to nip out and capture a few shots outside.

Here’s a little selection of images from Catherine and Ollie’s special day:
