Sometimes it’s the mundane things in life that can bring the biggest surprises. Louise and Greg met in the most everyday of circumstances, the school playground. They both had children who where in the same class at school but found themselves drawn to talk to each other at drop off and collection. After a time of being good friends Greg suggested they went on a date. Louise said yes.
It was April 2018 that Greg pulled up the courage to ask Louise to marry him. They headed to Liverpool for a day out together. Greg steered them towards the place that they first kissed, the waterfront at Albert Docks, and he proposed to Louise on the very spot three years later. Of course she said yes!
They were having a very small and intimate wedding at Farrington Lodge in Preston. They asked if I could do a a small package for them and of course I could. I love being a part of people's wedding day, it’s such a special time and I LOVE photographing weddings especially for a couple as much in love as Louise and Greg.
It was a warm spring day, even thought the forecast had been for snow, so it was a lovely surprise for everyone to be in the lovely spring warmth.
There was a sense of excitement from all invited, even their teenage children were excited! Greg was nervous Louise wouldn’t show up, I guess that’s always a fear groom have especially thanks to Hollywood movies. However Louise did turn up and looked stunning as she walked down the aisle towards her groom. The ceremony brought a smile to everyone's face and as the newlyweds walked down the aisle all the nerves had gone and they both beamed, I think this has to be one of my favourite photos from the day, it’s just pure joy.
These are a few of my favourites from the day. Congratulations Louise and Greg!
