  • Autumn Minis

I love my Autumn minis they are becoming a tradition now and I look forward to them every year. It’s great to meet families whose wedding and babies I have photographed and meet new families as well. It‘s great fun having those 20 minute shoots and jamming in as much fun as we can in that time. Here are a few of my favourites from all the mini sessions:

  • Hannahs Mother’s Day Mini with her Mum

Hannah bought her mum a Mothers Day Mini voucher back in March and it was so much fun doing mothers day photos with a grown-up mum and daughter. I think as grown-ups we forget to capture these moments with our parents and just focus on them with the kids but it was so special to be a part of I encourage everyone to do it! Here are a few of my favourites from the shoot.

  • Hannah's family shoot at Astley Park, Chorley

It's been lovely to get back out and take photos again especially capturing some of the Mother's Day Minis. Hannah had purchased a mini back in March and she asked if she could extend it to a full family shoot and of course I said yes! We headed to Astley Park in Chorley to get some fun photos, it was a little rainy but after chatting we decided to go ahead and just enjoy the weather. It was lovely to splash in the water and have brollies out in the rain which has made it hard to pick my favourites but here are a few of them:

  • Fennra and Marc Get married at Longlands Hotel and Inn, Carnforth

Fennra and Marc were one of those many couples who had to reschedule their wedding a few times and keep getting their hopes up only to have to rearrange. It was wonderful early last year to hear to finally hear that they had a date in place and could finally go ahead, albeit smaller than they had originally planned. I had first met Fennra a few years ago at Lancaster Brewery and she really wanted me to photograph their wedding but was unsure about the budget and if they could book me. We chatted through my packages and found the 7-hour package fitted perfectly for both budget and coverage, it's always worth talking to me about your budget and wedding I can help advise on packages that will suit you. On the day it was dry and sunny in Carnforth. Everything had come together to provide a lovely day, albeit a little cold. There were lots of little personal touches throughout the day including the gifts they gave each other, Fennra had bought Marc a vintage Gibson guitar and Marc had bought Fennra a knife set she had really wanted, you can see their reactions in the photos below. Here are a few of my favourites from the day:

  • Robbie and Sonja get married in Warton, Lancaster

Robbie and Sonja were due to get married in October 2020 but after more restrictions were brought in and numbers got cut from 30 to 15 they couldn't have their immediate family there as they went over the numbers so they decided to wait a year until they could have all their family there. I met them at a wedding fayre and the first thing they asked me was are you happy walking up a hill? This caught my attention straight away! I was so intrigued to find out more and I was very excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding a few weeks later. Although they had to rearrange their wedding they still had an amazing day filled with friends and family and more importantly the walk they so wanted to be included as part of their day. Here are a few of my favourites from the day:

  • Alex and Jon and a mini engagement shoot in Southport

Alex and Jon were passed my name by Alex’s mum who took part in my doorstep shoots raising money for the NHS back in 2020 and as a present she purchased them a voucher which they used for an engagement shoot. I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding in a couple of years but for now here are a few of my favourites from the mini engagement shoots.

  • Ben and Ratha get married in Stockport Town Hall and Oddfellows, Manchester

Ben and Ratha met in the middle of a Heavy metal concert a few years ago. ben is from Sussex and Ratha is from Manchester but they both hit it off and ended up living and working in London. They originally planned to get married 16 months ago but with the pandemic, they had to reschedule and it was lovely they asked me to be a part of their day. They had made rings together in September 21 just before their wedding and the rings are lovely! The 25th of September was a dull and slightly cloudy sort of day but thankfully the rain stayed at bay for most of it. They had booked my micro wedding package to cover the ceremony at Stockport Town Hall and some photos in the grounds of Oddfellow where they where booked to stay. I am enjoying these micro weddings, if something good has come out of the pandemic it's the fact that people are choosing what they really want to do and not what they think they should be doing. The ceremony was lovely and had just immediate family members there making the day really special. After the ceremony, the family headed for a meal and we met later to take photos. I did indulge in an ice cream as the weather had got warmer as the day went on. Not complaining though haha! Here are a few of my favourites from the day:

  • Dawn and Daniel get married Accrington Registry Office, Lancashire

Not everyone wants a big wedding some just want their really close family there and that’s all. Dawn and Daniel are such a couple. They had their son, best man and bridesmaid there and that was it, well abr me and the registrars. Dawn looked stunning in her black dress, she had a bouquet of mini pumpkins, sunflowers and all things autumn. Daniels velvet black suit had an amazing pattern that you really could appreciate close up. I may have only been with them an hour but what an hour it was. Here are a few of my favourite photos:

  • Cate and Gareth get married at Chadkirk Chapel, Stockport

Sometimes big weddings aren't your thing, sometimes you just want the closest people to you as a couple there, sometimes you just want to get married before a big life event or you just want to get married soon and a small wedding works for you. Cate and Gareth decided to get married in a small ceremony at Chadkirk Chapel in Stockport and it was such a lovely day, they were surrounded by friends and family. After the service they had champagne in the grounds and just enjoyed the summer sun. It was perfect for them. Here are a few of my favourites from the day:

  • Catrin and Charlie get married at the Leyland Hotel, Preston

'We met when we were both students at the University of Manchester; in fact it was the very first day that we moved in as we lived in the flat opposite each other in halls. It took another couple of years as just friends before Charlie finally asked me out on a date. It only took a couple of dates before I knew Charlie was going to be my husband, and 5 years later here we are. We lived together in Manchester for a couple of years before getting engaged in 2019. It was a joint decision to do so; I even went with Charlie to choose the ring (after all it is me who has to wear it for the rest of my life!) Charlie looked after the ring for a few weeks and 'popped the question' in Keswick overlooking the lake. Somehow he still surprised me with it even though I fully knew it was coming!' Catrin The day of Catrin and Charlies wedding was a little damp and rainy but thay definitely wasn’t reflected in the mood of the day, excitement filled the air as they got ready. Catrin had picked the most amazing irregular choice wedding shoes, and they are my favourite shoe company so I was completely loving it. Her dress was no dress at all although it looked like it, it was a gorgeous pant suit lace number with pockets, I mean wedding day goals, I think so! Charlie looked super smart in his rich blue suit. You could feel the love throughout the day, it seemed to emanate in every part and every person. The dance photos alone are epically fun filled. It was so hard to choose my favourites but here are a few: Suppliers: Dress: Rachel Burgess Bridal Boutique Hair: Duncan Fisher Hair Make up: Betsy Cosmetics Bespoke Painted Jacket: The Mermaid Effect Flowers: The Flower Farm Lancashire

  • Jen and Jack get married at Bartle Hall, Preston

Jen and Jack first met in high school and have been together ever since. They were due to get married in August 2020 but had to rearrange due to the pandemic and got married almost to the day in 2021. All the girls had stayed in one of the Lodges at Bartle Hall together for one last night of fun and girly prep before the big day. When I arrived there was a mix of sadness and joy. Jen’s brother sadly died in 2020 and his presence was being missed but the girls rallied round her and made it as much fun as they could. Her dress was beautiful and really suited her, her make up and hair was amazing as she headed down the aisle to Jack, who was waiting patiently for her. I’m sure I saw a tear appear in his eye as he saw his bride appear. Despite the rain we managed to get out for some couple photos for about 5 minutes before the rain became biblical but I really love them. It was such a special day for everyone and as they danced the night away the excitement and relief that the wedding had happened and they were finally married was palpable. I asked Jen to tell me a little about how her and Jack met and her is what she said: 'Myself and Jack met in high school, we were in the same classes from the age of 11. We became good friends when we both attended the same badminton club when we were 14 and that's where I also met his younger (and extremely crazy!) sister. Over the next year we grew closer, that summer whilst I was on a family holiday I used my one hour of internet allowance a day to message Jack. One day he confided in me that he liked someone and didn't know what to do, I asked who it was and he wouldn't say. I went through all the girls in our year until he finally said ''it's you.'' That was when my internet time ran out! When we next spoke we agreed that we weren't going to do anything about it as we didn't want it to ruin our friendship, so that was that. Six months later, Jack and his friend had transformed one of the empty classrooms into a common room. He invited me up so I took my friends and from that day on we'd all spend every break and dinner in there. Jack and I would always sit next to each other and one day he spontaneously held my hand and I got butterflies. It was bizarre, I didn't know he still liked me as we'd not spoken about it since summer, nor had I told him that I'd developed feelings for him too. That night we spoke and I said ''let's give it a go and if it goes wrong then we'll pretend it never happened and stay friends.'' Well....it never went wrong and 10 years on we're finally married. Our engagement was incredible. For as long as I can remember I wanted to see the Northern Lights. So, for my 21st birthday present, Jack took us to Iceland for a long weekend and one extremely cold evening, we went out on a tour to see the Northern Lights. When they finally appeared I turned around to see Jack on one knee in the snow with the ring in his hand. Of course, I said yes and it was the most surreal moment of my life.' I mean that story along was worth coming to the blog right? Here are some of my favourites from the day. • Will, Shannon, Joni and Judah and a Mother’s Day mini shoot

I really love that so many mums got given a Mother’s Day Mini shoot as a Mother’s day present this year. It has been amazing capturing these moments for them. I had lots of fun capturing the family having fun in their back garden. Here are a few of my favourites:
